Company will present a workshop on Bharathanatyam technique
and body movement. Open to all dancers from all dance forms. $25.00
per person at the door.
Performances in the evening by Sushma Mohan(Bharathanatyam), Eva
Lucena of Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre (Flamenco) and Ashtar(Middle
Eastern Dances).

ARCH Worldwide presents Sushma Mohan in
"On the Sea Shore - Poetry-Rasa -Gathi" - A
Bharathanatyam presentation of poetry, rhytm and rasa.
The program will include a selection of poetry from Kannada
poets Parama DevaKavi, KanakaDaasaLakshmeesha, Kumara Valimiki and
english poets Rabindranath Tagore and Lord Byron to present Rasa.
The latter half will feature "Gathi Vinyaasa" - An
intricate rhythm presentation of the five Jaathi of Indian. An attempt
to create a special relationship between melody
and rhythm. Mrudanga compositions by Guru Prasanna Kasthuri and
Vidwan G Gurumurthy.
Guidance and Original concept for all items by
Guru Prasanna Kasthuri. Music by Pandit VishwaMohan Bhatt and
Late Jahnavi Jayaprakash. Supported by Soorya

Sushma Mohan is a student of Guru Prasanna Kasthuri and received advanced training from Guru Sri Dhananjayans. She has performed at major venues in Bangalore and in the USA -National Asian Dance Conference San Antonio, Asian American Heritage Month - Somerset and Brick NJ, Navarathri Festival Bridgewater Hindu Temple NJ and Soorya Dance Company premier productions, St.Louis to name a few. A wonderful nattuvangist (Tutored by Vidwan Pulikeshi Kasturi and Late Smt.Kamala Rani), she is the receipient of the National Youth Fest and Dasara Youth Talent Search Award. Her dance productions include Yathiraja Vaibhava, Gajendra Moksha, Apoorva Sadashiva, Megha Sandesha and Mira.

"Natya Vandana": A
Bharata Natyam Dance Feature by Sushma Mohan
This classical Indian dance performance,
will present dance items inspired by the Natya Shastra. Items
include RangaPooje, Natesha Kautvam (Dance on Lord Shiva), Soorya
Namaskara (Salutations to the Sun) and Moksha (Unity of the Divine and
Art). Sushma will be accompanied by her senior disciples.
