1981

Secured a scholarship from the Karnataka Sangeetha Nruthya Academy for Bharathanatyam at age 13.

1982-84

Performed in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Cochin, Madras with the troupe of Guru Lalitha Srinivasan.

Accompanied the group of Nupura as a nattuvangist and performed in Nithya Nruthya festival of dances, Bangalore,

1984

Formal debut of Prasanna under the able guidance of Guru Lalitha Srinivasan, Bangalore.

1985

Completed Vidwath (professional) grade exam conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Board and secured third rank.

Established Shanthala Arts Academy, a cultural institution in Bangalore to promote classical Indian arts.

1986

Created a world record by performing a marathon bharathanatyam performance for 24 hours with live orchestra.  

Best dancer award from the Karnataka Sangeetha Nruthya Academy.

Continued advanced dance education under Guru Narmada, a student of Kittappa Pillai

Started to learn Kathak under the able guidance of Guru Mayarao, a student of Shambhu Maharaj.   

Represented State of Karnataka in the Inter state Cultural exchange program at Manipur, India

Represented State of Karnataka in the Inter state Cultural exchange program at Himachal Pradesh, India. Performed with Anjali Jay, famous movie star/actress/Bharathanatym Performer.

1987

Organized a national level dance festival at Vijayapura, a historically important place 50 kms from Bangalore. Continued to organize these festivals till 1992.

1988

Presented Kavya Kinkini a dance presentation of the works of Kannada literature.

Invited by Lasya dance company UK to perform in their dance productions

Prasanna was invited by the Arathi School of dances, USA to perform for their dance productions.

Performed in Indian temple Troy-Michigan, Phoenix, Arizona, Dallas- Texas for various cultural organizations.

Conducted dance workshops in San Antonio, Phoenix and Dallas.

Performed at Soorya Dance Festival at Trivandram with Guru Maya Rao

1991

Prasanna leads his dancers & musicians group "Tribhang" and tours Switzerland, France, and UK.

1992

Ms. Padmaja Patil, the first student of Prasanna performs arangetram in Bangalore

Presented Subhadra Parinaya for Alliance Francaise and Aurobindo Ashram at Pondicherry

1993

Dance tour of Holland, France and USA with musicians.

"Subhadra Parinaya a dance production choreographed by Prasanna is performed under the auspices of Soleil D r of Paris and well received in France.

Creates new dances - "Rasavinyasa" and "Gati Vinyasa" for the arangetram of Pulikeshi Kasthuri and Sushma Kasthuri

Invited by Hindu temple of Houston to participate in the symposium of dancer teachers and presented a talk on "Nayakas"

Choreographed "ParaBhakthi  a meta-physical dance drama for the Kumbhabhishekam of Hindu Temple in St.Louis.

Presented "Samarpan" - a depiction of Indian Freedom Movement - for India Association of Saint Louis, MO.

Invited by the International Bengali association to perform at the International Bengali conference held at St.Louis. Presented works of Rabindranath Tagore, Nasrul Islam and other eminent Bengali poets
